A matheuristic approach combining genetic algorithm and mixed integer linear programming model for production and distribution planning in the supply chain

A number of research studies have addressed supply chain planning from various perspectives (strategical, tactical, operational) and demonstrated the advantages integrating both production distribution (PDP). The globalisation chains fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) mean that companies must be more agile resilient to adapt volatile demand, improve their relation with customers suppliers. Hence growing interest in coordinating production-distribution processes chains. To deal new market’s requirements business industry’s regulations changing conditions, efforts should made towards methods optimise PDP processes. This paper proposes a matheuristic approach for solving problem. Given complexity this problem, combining genetic algorithm mixed integer linear programming model is proposed. was tested using Coin-OR Branch & Cut open-source solver. computational outcomes revealed presented may used solve real sized problems.
